FOR TODAY ...
October 5, 2009
Outside my window...
Birds are cheerfully chirping
I am thinking...
Of my husband who will be home from Iraq soon.
I am thankful for...
This Fall season and the slightly cooler weather.
From the learning rooms...
Brittany reading and narrating from The Kings Daughter. Then just the same things.
From the kitchen...
Fresh bread for today and for dinner....
I have no idea because Stephani did the the menu and she will be cooking dinner.
I am wearing...
Just a plain ole dress.
I am creating...
Still a log cabin quilt. I'm also crocheting a victorian gingham check afgan.
I am going...
To pick up my husband on Wednesday who will be arriving from iraq soon.
I am reading...
I just started the book of Proverbs and will begin the book of John.
I am hoping...
to learn more about nutrition and start eating better.
I am hearing...
sniffling noses (we've had some colds this fall)
Around the house...
I have some cleaning to do before Rob gets home
One of my favorite things...
The smell of children just getting out of bed in the morning.
A few plans for the rest of the week:
to clean up, run some errands, prepare for Rob.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...
Brittany's (my baby) 10th birthday. Great shot!

The title of your blog caught my eye on daybookers! I love quilting and homeschooling our kids! I enjoyed stopping by today! SO glad to hear that your husband will be home soon. I stopped and said a prayer for your family. One of my closest friends, Hubby is in Iraq right now along with a few others dear to our hearts. Thank you for serving along side of him!
I love the log cabin blocks, I haven't ever tackled a whole quilt of them:)
Blessings,
Gayly

saw you on SWDB. i'm a christian homeschooling mommy, too. but not a military wife. however we love & admire our military & their families sooooooo much! we pray for all of you often. so exciting that your husband is coming home. just wanted to say thank you for his service & yours, too.
How funny... We began reading Proverbs aloud, again, last week and we began the book of John this week, too. ;o) Great minds and all.
I'm so glad that Rob will be home tomorrow (even though I'll miss getting together so often but it's worth it to have your hubby home). ;o)
Love you, friend ~
